Jake Owen Wanted To "Spread Love" In World That Needs It W/ "Believe" Cover

Jake Owen has a lot going on in his life. His second child is growing by the day, he just went to his first Film Festival to watch himself in his first movie, he's putting out Sounds From Soundcheck, amongst several other things happening in his day-to-day life.

Recently, Owen got back from the Toronto Film Festival where the movie The Friend premiered. This is Owen's first movie as an official actor. He confessed that he was really happy with his scenes after watching the movie for the first time. Watching it back, he remembers the first thing he ever filmed was a one-on-one moment with Casey Affleck. Owen says the moment was "wild" because the two had just met five minutes before and then they had to film a pretty intense scene.

Also in some start-studded news, Owen got word that Cher finally heard his cover of her song "Believe." Cher sent out a tweet saying,

"Just heard Jake Owen’s Version of “Believe “, It’s So Heart Felt. When I Was Young Mom,Grandpa,Uncle Mickey, & I Would Sit around & Sing. Mick & Grandpa Played Guitar. First song I learned Was “Hey Good Look’n”. Never Wanna Lose Family’s Roots. Grandpa’s Guitar Still Makes Me Cry."

Owen has never met Cher in real life. He said that the whole reason the song cover came about was due to one of his guitar players being Gay and it was "Pride Month." He wanted to stand up for his friends and he's proud that his cover is spreading love in a world that needs it more than anything.

And as far as those luscious locks go, Owen is really struggling to decide what he wants to do with his hairstyle. He says when he cuts it, he just wants to grow it back out, but then his mom doesn't like when it's long. He can't seem to find the way he likes it best.
