Old Dominion postponed two upcoming shows and canceled one, aiming to prioritize the recovery process as one of the bandmates heals from an injury.
The award-winning band — made up of Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers, Geoff Sprung and Brad Tursi — shared a statement on Old Dominion’s Instagram story on Tuesday (September 16). They explained they would reschedule two performances and cancel one on the “How Good Is That World Tour” so their drummer, Sellers, could prioritize his health after an injury.
“We’re sorry to let y’all know that Whit is receiving treatment for a back injury and we have made the difficult but necessary choice to prioritize his health and recovery before returning to the stage. This week’s Ontario and Bakersfield shows have been rescheduled as follows. ERNEST and Redferrin will remain as support. Current tickets will be honored for rescheduled dates,” Old Dominion stated. The Ontario show is rescheduled to December 10. The Bakersfield show is rescheduled to December 11. Anyone unable to attend the new dates can request a refund at the point of purchase through October 18.
“Unfortunately, we are unable to reschedule our Fresno show,” Old Dominion said, noting that all tickets “will be automatically refunded. Thank you for your understanding, we hope to be back out on the road to see you soon!”
Ramsey, the band’s lead singer, recently appeared on an episode of BobbyCast. During his conversation with Bobby Bones, Ramsey shared why Sellers often does not appear in photos with the rest of the group. He also told “the story of being offered to play guitar for Taylor Swift twice but turned it down,” the night he met “hero” Bruce Springsteen, “the time he locked eyes with Tim McGraw in the bathroom during warmups,” and more.
