Ella Langley dropped out of several upcoming shows after “fighting sickness and feeling more run down than ever,” she announced in a statement on Monday (August 11).

The “weren’t for the wind” artist said she made “the hard decision” to prioritize her health and step back from performing in the upcoming weeks. Langley confirmed she’ll miss scheduled dates on tours with Morgan Wallen and Riley Green in Cleveland, Ohio; Nashville, Tennessee; Bonner-West Riverside, Montana; Tampa, Idaho; and Morrison, Colorado.

“I’m so sad to be posting this. The past several weeks have been tough,” Langley wrote in the statement she shared on Instagram on Monday. “I’ve been fighting sickness and feeling more run down than ever. After a lot of thought, I’ve made the hard decision to take a couple of weeks to rest and focus on my health — mind, body, and heart. I want to be fully present for all the moments ahead, and I know I can’t do that without first taking care of myself.

“Sometimes we have to listen when our bodies and hearts are telling us to slow down. I’m so grateful for your understanding and your love — it truly means the world to me,” Langley continued. She added the Bible verse Matthew 11:28, reading “come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” The award-winning country star assured, “I’ll be back on the road in September, ready to give you my all.”

Langley’s first performance date scheduled in September is set for World Wide Technology Raceway on Saturday, September 6 in Madison, Illinois. See Langley’s statement here:
