Surveillance video has surfaced of the crash between a Santa Clara Valley Transit Authority light rail train and a car on Sunday in San Jose that left two people dead.
The accident occurred Sunday at about 12:30 p.m. In the video clip, you can see customers at Hapa's Brewing Company watching and then taking cover as the train collides with the car.
Caylyn Major, who is an employee at the brewery, said, "The VTA light rail was off the tracks, the car was completely smashed except for the driver's side."
The driver of the car and a male passenger were killed in the crash. Police said that the driver drove around the crossing arms, which were down and functioning properly at the time of the crash. (FOX KTVU)
