The Palace tweeted a statement around 8 in the morning London time (quote) “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London earlier this morning in the early stages of labor.”
This will be Kate’s third child with Prince William, who arrived with her to the hospital. The baby will become fifth in line to the British Throne behind its two older siblings, George and Charlotte, William and grandfather Prince Charles. (People)
- Kate’s younger sister, Pippa Middleton, just announced her first pregnancy.
- “Early stages of labor” must be British for her water broke.
- Would be pretty funny if the Royal Family had an emergency delivery in an odd place.
Kate Middleton gave birth to a baby boy this morning and, as is tradition with Royal Family births, the arrival was announced by the Town Crier on the steps of St. Mary's Hospital in London. The baby boy, who will be fifth in line to the throne, has not yet been named.
