Herb Bauer Sporting Goods closing after 68 years

posted by greg lane -

This is a sad story for so many of us who over the years shopped at Herb Bauer.  I loved shopping there because Barry Bauer and his staff always had the answers, whether its was firearms, camping equipment, outdoor play toys they have it all.  I went in there one time to find out how I could get rid of snakes and they sold snake shot, that took care of the problem.  They even showed me some guns that would be good to have to use with the snake shoot.   Herb Bauer is all about Fresno, and while I hate to see it go, the Bauer's deserve to retire and enjoy life, they have served the community well and I thanks them for always having the answers to my many questions .

ABC-30 was the first on this story and I wanted to share it with you
