FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State seniors Josiah Freeman and Al'zillion Hamilton were selected to the Shrine Bowl 1000 on Monday. The preseason watch list by the East-West Shrine Bowl highlights the top 1,000 all-star game-eligible players by the organization.
The Shrine Bowl 1000 serves as a look into the scouting process for the all-star game, as well as a preview of college players who are currently all-star game eligible for the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl and 2026 NFL Draft class.
Hamilton continues to add preseason honors to his list. Entering 2025 as Fresno State's only returning All-Mountain West selection from last season, Hamilton is primed for a breakout year in the fall. He is Fresno State's leader in career games played (42). At the conclusion of 2024, he was one of the nation's top defensive backs, finishing 10th in the FBS while averaging 1.2 passes defended per game.
The senior corner was Fresno State's only preseason All-MW pick, and earned preseason honors by Phil Steele and Athlon Sports.
Freeman was a first team preseason All-MW pick by Phil Steele and a second team selection by Athlon Sports. A player with a high ceiling, Freeman has been plagued with injuries that have prevented him from maximizing his potential. Entering 2025, the senior comes in with the most returning receiving yards for the Bulldogs.
