FRESNO, Calif. - As kickoff to the 2024 football season approaches, another preseason All-Mountain West team has been announced as Phil Steele named 12 Fresno State football standouts to his preseason all-conference team.
Senior defensive lineman Devo Bridges was the lone first team pick by Phil Steele, considered as one of college football's top information gurus.
On the second team, Fresno State saw its bulk of selections behind quarterback Mikey Keene, running back Malik Sherrod, and offensive lineman Mose Vavao and Jacob Spomer. Defensive second team picks included linebacker Malachi Langley and cornerback Cam Lockridge while Dylan Lynch was selected as a kicker.
Wide receiver Jalen Moss and safety Dean Clark were third team picks.
Bulldog newcomers Chedon James and Korey Foreman were each fourth team selections with James as a receiver and Foreman a defensive lineman.
Fresno State opens the 2024 season on August 31 at Michigan, going head-to-head with the reigning national champion. Tickets for the game are available here.
