FRESNO, Calif.- Fresno State women's tennis earns their way back into the win column with a clean sweep over the Aggies to open MW Conference play on Sunday afternoon at Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Complex, 4-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Fresno State came in hot taking the lead in all doubles matches. On court No. 2 Eliza Dunbar and Carolina Piferi wrap up first, holding the Aggies to just two games, 6-2. Charlotte Gisclon and Hannah Piper closed out doubles with a 6-4 win over Kukreti/ Nunez Pureco. No. 1 doubles, Matilde Magrini and Misaki Kobayashi match was unfinished at 4-3.
Carolina Piferi gives the Bulldogs the lead with a win at No. 3 doubles over De Hilario (6-2, 6-1). On a roll Charlotte Gisclon earns the next point for the 'Dogs. Gisclon defeats Nespor, 6-2, in both sets. Miskai Kobayashi grabs the final point for the Bulldogs at No. 2, defeating L. Kung (6-1, 6-4). Matches at No. 1, No. 5, and No. 6 were left unfinished.
