Shopping Finds: Amy's 3 Favorite Things Of The Week (2/19)

I have not been paid to recommend any of these products. Here are three things I'm loving this week! Let's get started...

#1: Homemade Eucalyptus Wall Hanging

I've been seeing these wall hangings everywhere. Found one I liked on Etsy- but it was $135!

That's when the sliver of craftiness in my body emerged, "I think I can make that!"

And it turns out, I could...

I found a branch in the woods. (Fell and hit my head trying to haul it up an icy hill, ugh) Used the twine in my gift wrapping stuff and ordered this bunch of dried eucalyptus on Etsy.

After that, using the picture as a guide, made my own version of the wall hanging.

It turned out pretty great!

The bunches of eucalyptus made enough for 2 wall hangings. Total cost for both, $60. (plus shipping)

#2: Gorilla Grip Bathroom Rugs

These are the best bathroom rugs I've ever owned. What makes them so great?

*Easily shake clean

*Have Super Grip

*Come in a ton of colors and sizes

We're doing a DIY renovation of our basement bathroom (hope to have before and after pics next week) just ordered another set for down there. Love.

Here's the link.

#3: Homemade Caramel Chex Mix

Warning: This stuff is addicting. I made two huge tubs last Saturday, we have a small bowl's worth left. I. Can't. Stop. Holy S is this stuff good. I've even crumbled it on top of vanilla ice cream- you know- to add some extra calories :)

Here's the recipe...

Preheat oven to 250 degrees

In a large bowl, add:

*2 Cups Rice Chex

*2 Cups Corn Chex

*2 Cups Chocolate Chex

*2 Cups Pretzels (I used GF pretzels)

*1 cup Whole Unsalted Almonds

*1 Cup Whole Unsalted Pecans

In a medium saucepan, add:

*3/4 Cup Butter

*3/4 Cup Dark Corn Syrup

*1 1/2 Cups Light Brown Sugar

Melt Over Medium Heat

Once melted, add to chex mix and stir.

Have 2 cookie sheets lined with tinfoil and gently sprayed with non-stick spray. Evenly pour the mixture onto the two sheets. Place in oven.

I put one on the top rack and one on the bottom rack. Make sure both racks are as close to the center of the oven as possible.

Bake for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Each time you stir, rotate the cookie sheets. Moving the bottom cookie sheet to the top and vice versa.

After one hour. Remove from oven. Let cool. Store in container in pantry.

Thanks for reading and happy shopping!
