Luke Combs did a lengthy interview with the Grammy Museum's "Behind the Songs" (which you can watch below) and one of my favorite things Luke revealed is the artists he listened to that helped hone his melodic abilities. He credits a couple of my all time favorite groups with helping him learn to sing while he listened to them growing up: NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys!! He also said he listened to a lot of John Legend in his high school days and lists him as an influence too.
My favorite quote from Luke was "there's no kid my age that WASN'T listening to NSYNC or the Backstreet Boys" - Luke is only 2 years older than me and I can backup this statement for sure!
