This is definitely on my bucket list. Each February, Horsetail Waterfall at El Capitan in Yosemite has a tendency to glow like flowing lava during the sunset on a clear night. The phenomenon is fittingly called Firefall. Check out some photos below. Unfortunately, it requires near perfect conditions to experience Firefall - there has to be enough water flowing and the light is right. If it's cloudy outside, the glow can't happen - so here's hoping our February weather is extremely favorable for Firefall! Last year was one of the best years for viewing. Stay up to date with us on social media, on Facebook and Instagram @1027TheWolf and I will post when people are having successful trips viewing Firefall!!
