Today is Giving Tuesday, and after a long weekend of retail shopping it's time to redirect some money to organizations that support our community in so many amazing ways. While there are a plethora of organizations in the Central Valley deserving of your donations, here's a couple of my local picks...
Valley Animal Center - A No-Kill shelter in Fresno that works diligently to pair every cat or dog with a loving home. They are solely-funded by the community. As a bonus, this is the shelter Miranda Lambert is supporting on her Wildcard tour, so if you drop off a donation you will be entered for concert tickets and meet and greet passes to see her at SaveMart Center February 27!
Toys for Tots - each year iHeart Media partners with the US Marine Corp Reserves to collect new, unwrapped toys to distribute to children in the community, ensuring that every child has a gift this holiday season. There are several convenient drop off locations thanks to local sponsors. Find the full list of drop off locations by clicking right here, or feel free to drop off a toy here at iHeart Media, at 83 E Shaw Ave in Fresno, we are open Monday thru Friday 8:30a - 5:30p
The Central California Food Bank - the winter months can take a toll on people in need, when heating bills go up there is less money for quality, nutritious food. The Central California Food Bank provides many services to ensure that no one in Central CA goes hungry. They help upwards of 280,000 Californians per month and can always use your help to continue their mission. Find information and ways to help by clicking right here.
Marjaree Mason Center - Fresno County's only dedicated provider of domestic violence shelter and support services. Marjaree Mason Center supports and empowers adults and their children affected by domestic violence, while striving to prevent and end the cycle of abuse through education and advocacy.
