As I'm sure you've heard, a Facebook event to raid Area 51 and "see them aliens" has gone viral and sparked plentyyyy of memes. Well, the best use of the joke in my opinion has come from a couple animal shelters! Longview Animal Shelter in Texas made posts to their Facebook and Instagram page saying their shelter is the "Area 51's secret location" and "we won't resist, you can take them all, our aliens can go home with you". And by aliens, they mean adorable dogs and cats in alien costumes and tin foil hats!! An Oklahoma Shelter joined in on the fun too. The photos are insanely adorable, check them out below!
