Thomas Rhett Says Reality TV Would Be 'Too Much' For His Family

Country music star Thomas Rhett would love the opportunity to act in a movie or TV show one day, but he draws the line when it comes to reality TV.

Rhett has been asked many times to do a reality television show but says that he and his wife Lauren don't necessarily think it's a great idea. Rhett believes that between his social media and his wife's the public already has plenty of insight into the family's life.

"Honestly, we've been asked a bunch of times to do like, a reality show," Rhett told his label adding, "but I just don't think that's something me and Lauren...I mean, we give enough of ourselves, I think, on social media."

He continues, "We pretty much open our home and our marriage to our fans in a way, where it's like you see that the good, bad, the ugly. And I think a reality show might be too much."

While reality TV seems to be out of the picture for Rhett at this time, he's still open to other acting opportunities that come his way.

"This year will be the first time that I'm gonna try to start delving into a little more gettin' behind the camera," Rhett says, looking ahead to 2020. "And I don't think I want to be like an 'actor' actor, but I think it would be pretty fun to be in a few scenes in a big movie or something like that."

One way Rhett recently gave fans a look into his family life was through his music video for hit heartfelt single, "Remember You Young." The video features actual home video clips of Lauren and his two daughters, Willa Gray and Ada James.

He also more recently shared a video to Instagram showing his daughters dancing and singing in front of a TV playing Rhett's ACM performance. Rhett's family fan club just keeps getting bigger as Lauren is pregnant with their third child, another girl, due in February 2020.
